Ware Malcomb Announces Construction Complete on AMS Industries Inc. Office Expansion Project

OAK BROOK, Ill. – Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, today announced construction is complete on an office expansion for AMS Industries located in Bolingbrook, Ill.

Ware Malcomb’s Oak Brook office provided architecture and interior design, civil engineering, building measurement services, and furniture management for the 40,000 SF project.

Based in Woodridge, Ill., AMS Industries Inc. provides complete concept and full-service MEP+™ contracting. The completed project transformed a former LA Fitness space into an expanded office and training environment for the rapidly growing company.

The project’s significant interior construction scope included filling in an existing indoor pool and hot tub, along with reconstructing the related mechanical rooms. An existing kids play room with jungle gym was removed, along with racquetball courts. 

An existing basketball court was retained as a program amenity and lockers were repurposed from the former locker rooms, while the space’s mezzanine floor received an expansion. New amenities include a bar with golf simulator room, improved café area and expanded access to the patio.

The interior color palette was developed from the company’s original branding, introducing white, black and red colors within a retro-industrial context. Custom designed and fabricated panel dividers are featured in the lobby as well as custom branded graphics.

AMS Industries served as the general contractor on the project.
