Arenco has won three awards at the Master Builders Australia NSW 2026 Construction Awards, recognizing the company’s diverse work delivering complex infrastructure projects across NSW.

The awards celebrate the achievements of leading companies and individuals across the NSW building and construction industry, with Arenco recognised for its work on the Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway Ramp, Medlow Bath Station Upgrade and Pedestrian Bridge, and Campbelltown Commuter Car Park Project.

“To have three very different projects recognised at this level is a fantastic achievement for Arenco,” said Angelo Stratikopoulos, Divisional Manager at Arenco.

“Each of these projects presented its own set of unique challenges, and we are incredibly proud of the outcomes the teams delivered” he said.

Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway Ramp

The Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway Ramp is a landmark active transport project that replaced the long-standing and widely criticised 55-step staircase at the northern end of the bridge. The project removed a significant accessibility barrier in Sydney’s cycling network, providing a safe, continuous and step free connection between the Sydney CBD and North Sydney. Beyond accessibility improvements, the project incorporates First Nations cultural storytelling.

Delivering the ramp within one of Sydney’s most constrained and heritage-sensitive environments presented significant technical and construction challenges. Working through night-only work windows, live rail adjacency, traffic constraints, and complex crane operations, the project demanded disciplined planning and innovative construction solutions.

Despite these challenges, the quality outcome of the project set a new benchmark for infrastructure delivery in heritage-sensitive environments. The project was recognised as a finalist at the 2026 CCF NSW Earth Awards.

Medlow Bath

Located in the Blue Mountains range, Medlow Bath Station presented longstanding accessibility challenges, with pedestrians requiring a safe way to navigate the highway and rail corridor. The station upgrade and new pedestrian bridge delivered by Arenco addressed these barriers while bringing the station into compliance with DSAPT, NCC and DDA requirements.

Surrounded by significant heritage areas, including the State Heritage-listed station, UNESCO World Heritage-listed Greater Blue Mountains Area and neighbouring Hydro Majestic precinct, the project required careful delivery. Central to the project was a continuous steel box-girder pedestrian bridge spanning the Great Western Highway that connected the upgraded station with the surrounding network.

Through a combination of architectural design and engineering expertise, Arenco transformed the station into a fully accessible facility, improving passenger safety, amenity and network integration.

Campbelltown Commuter Car Park Project

The Campbelltown Commuter Car Park transformed an underutilised parcel of land into a modern five-story, 506-space commuter facility, addressing a growing demand for off-street parking driven by residential growth and increased use of the surrounding precinct.

Designed to serve as more than a conventional car park, the project incorporates a range of sustainable and adaptable features including rooftop solar, EV charging and water reuse. An open courtyard and removable ramps also allow for uses beyond car parking as the needs of the Campbelltown community continue to evolve.

Additionally, the project has helped to ease congestion along Farrow Road and connecting streets, improving the traffic flow, connectivity, and access for the local community.

Together, these three projects demonstrate Arenco’s ability to deliver complex infrastructure across a diverse range of environments

“These awards are a proud moment for everyone involved. Ultimately, the recognition is a reflection of the people behind these projects and the consistent care and expertise they bring to delivering quality outcomes every day” said Angelo.
